“Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
~ John Muir
It’s the time of year when it’s quieter at the local wetlands. The time before the wood storks return to build their nests, lay their eggs, and raise their young - before they take over every available branch and raise a ruckus from sun-up to sun-down.
It's the time of year when you can hear yourself think if you go early enough in the morning, where you can breathe in and feel the stress leave your body as you breathe out.
It’s the time of year when I feel most grateful to have this peace of heaven close to home.
